Welcome Note by Honorary President of ICR2015

In the name of the Almighty

Dear Masters, Colleagues and Friends,

I am pleased to be elected by masters who are, like you, samples of honors of the Iranian radiology including Dr. Jalal Jalal Shokouhi, Dr. Abbas Arjmand Shabestari, Dr. Mansoor Fatehi and board of directors of Iranian Society of Radiology. I hope appreciation of colleagues motivate the young generation because giving the honor to others is followed by their pride and credit. It is a must for all of us to try to develop our enchanting field in terms of ethical and scientific affairs. We should appreciate the pioneers and forerunners of radiology in Iran while they are among us. I would like to name great masters such as late Dr. Rouholamini, Dr. Arnavaz and other great radiologists in the history of medicine in Iran, and wish those who are among us to remain healthy and happy.

The 31^st congress, like other radiology congresses, is one of the greatest scientific achievements of radiological community in Iran, that was organized thanks to efforts of Iranian Society of Radiology, Association of Medical Engineering and Cooperative of Iranian Radiologists in order to enhance scientific development and update diverse knowledge in this important field. The indefatigable endeavors of competent directors and their colleagues had important role in this history.

I believe the diversity of radiological science mandates sub-specialization we shall establish subspecialty fields in a real context. Fortunately several of our colleagues had taken practical steps in this regard and this congress is a real example. This objective should be met fast, because any delay will lead to inadequate efficiency and consequently others may trespass the field of radiology. I hope the universities and scientific associations together with Iranian Society of Radiology and especially national board of radiology double their efforts to achieve this goal.

I have the honor to welcome you and appreciate your participation in this scientific congress. I also express my thanks to the dear local and foreign lecturers as well as board of directors of related local associations, especially to the dear colleagues who have attended from overseas.

I wish all the best for the dear President of the Congress and other persons who have organized this meeting.
